Working as part of the development team, you will be responsible for maintaining legacy projects and will also be actively involved in creating new functionality and usability.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong command of PHP and would favour a tertiary level education.
Your role at SysPay ltd:
Maintain the current code base, program new features/features and fix bugs where necessary ;
Analyse requirements and improve existing applications;
Investigate/research new technologies and how these can be applied to better improve our current operations;
Perform unit tests;
Writing/updating documentation when new features or enhancements are introduced;
Providing efficient and reliable design and coding;
Working closely with other members of staff and ensuring good communication with other developers, designers and business analysts for an effective outcome.
What we are looking for?
At least 3 years’ professional experience in PHP;
Experience in MySQL databases and not in SQL databases, such as MongoDB;
Experience in GIT or other distributed SCM;
OOP skills and knowledge of design best practices;
Experience with test-driven development;
Knowledge of writing complex SQL queries (optimising and testing to ensure efficient execution);
Experience in developing RESTful APIs;
Good verbal and written communication skills;
Perform code reviews;
Able to manage priorities and deadlines for individual projects;
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar field favourable.
Desirable:Experience with MVC frameworks such as Symfony, Lumen or Laravel ;
